Ballycastle opens through parkland along the Rivers Margy and Carey, past the ruins of a 12th-century friary, before turning into proper linksland among the dunes — with views across the water to the Mull of Kintyre. The par-3 17th is the hole most associated with the course, a fitting near-finale to a round unlike almost anywhere else.
